XIII European Meeting on Ferroelectricity

Desde Domingo, 28. Junio 2015
Hasta Viernes, 3. Julio 2015
The European Meeting on Ferroelectricity (EMF) will be held for the first time in its history in Porto, Portugal.
28 Jun > 3 Jul 2015.
This conference has encompassed fundamental studies of ferroelectric materials and related materials, tackling their applications in a wide range of advanced technologies, and exploring the frontiers at the very boundaries of this field.

The EMF 2015 conference program will include beyond straightforward matters, alike theory and modelling, ferroelectric basic properties and symmetry, domains and domain walls, relaxor behaviour and driven forces, latest research trends, as multiferroicity and magnetoelectricity, integrated ferroelectrics, low-scale, nano- and size effects, to mention only a few ones. Advances in innovative multifunctional applications of ferroelectric and related materials and in cutting-edge microscopic and macroscopic characterization will be embraced too.

We confidently believe that EMF 2015 will offer a great opportunity on the one hand to report on published and running works, and on the other hand to bring to debate new trends in basic understanding of ferroicity and multiferroicity, as well in advanced applications at macro- micro- and nano-scale. Moreover, the breakthroughs in ferroelectric physics, and the increasing importance of ferroelectrics in several scientific areas, should draw researchers and industry members, looking forward to a conference like EMF, which might yield significant changes in the mainstream of present-day physics and applications of ferroelectrics. We expect that this event might also contribute to strengthen the physics of ferroelectricity as a highly competitive research field.
