We are Catalan Technology Centre with over 20 years of experience with its main facilities located in Maresme area , near Barcelona. The centre is composed by a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, technologists and post - docs devoted to the research an d development of new technologies. The mission of the centre is t o develop new flexible and stretchable devices/ produ cts in the areas of photonics, printed circuits and components, printed sensors, bio functional surfaces and high per formance textiles to s upport technological innovation of companies at Catalan, Spanish and EU level.

 

The selected candidate will lead the “ Printed Circuits and Components ” technological area, composed by a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers. Projects under his responsibility cover topics like flexible electronics, hybrid electronics , functional printing, large area organic devices and pre - industrial up - scaling of functional printing processes .

• Setting the scientific and technological objectives of the division
• Leading a team of scientists, engineers and designers.
•  Supervising and coordinating the technical execution of the projects of the area.
• Writing and presenting technical offers to clients and support ing the commercial activities.
• Project ideation and consortium building for national and European competitive project calls.
• Project evaluation, proposal writing, contact with partners, clients and/or providers.
• Responsible for the technical and financial progress of the pool of projects of the area.
• Evaluation of intellectual property and patents writing
• Dissemination in workshops and congresses.

Direct report to R&D director.

 

• Experience with research projects execution. Especially application /technology oriented projects.
• Experience in project management. Product management is considered an asset
• Experience with organic semiconductors, organic electronic devices and solution - process functional materials (conductive, dielectric, etc)
•  Knowledge in ink formulation, printing and coating processes.
• Experience in roll - to - roll systems is considered an asset.
• Leadership abilities.
• Proven experience in leading teams of 4 persons or more.
• Pro-active approach to problem solving.
• Ability to work to strict timescales and under pressure.
• Ability to draft reports.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Languages: Professional working proficiency in English is mandatory.
